Reading Day

睇咗成日書, 先"頂"完個個幾 Chapter.
都好, 發覺原來真的可以轉到 Channel, 唔同科都太致睇得明。
不禁佩服老細的「遠見」, 堅持我應該先讀這一本書。

臨走寫好 Patch Clamp 的 Procedure, 明天可以從頭到尾自己做一次。

因為要到 ESL 幫手, 所以早走了。

明天是 Daniel 回來前的最後一天。

爸媽的情況尚算穩定, 希望他們考慮我的意見和「推薦」時, 可以找到合適的人物。

First Day of Work

First day of work today. Wasn't as excited as expected.
May be I shouldn't have put it so soon, or I have put it too late.

Who makes it so difficult to accomplish the rights

Free A ButterFly

Well.....I killed a mouse today....really stepped it to death....

But a butterfly was freed - one that has wounds all over.

Butterfly likes parks, where it finds flowers.

The butterfly likes honey from roses;
but was hurted by the thorns.

The butterfly likes water lily - it finds the juice tasty;
but the muddy flowers trapped its wings.

In time, the lily heartbroke to see the butterly struggle.
The lily finds its juice bitter -
the butterfly should have dumped it if not trapped by mud and hunger.

So the lotus drains the mud and frees the butterfly.

It sends the butterfly not to rose, nor the bitter mud,
but to the blue sky where the warm breeze blows.

到埗第二日

前日一到埗, 第一個印象是 -- 好像從來沒有走過。

費城的機場, 曾經驚喜、不捨; 還是熟悉的唐人街, 還是天旺飯店, 還是想起叉燒炒蛋。

「像」歸「像」, 始終是大半年, 過去的, 未過去的, 都要改變。沒有太大時差, 兩天以來, 還是十時多睡, 六時多醒來。謝謝 Alexis 和 Florence 給我寄居兩星期。

昨天到 Penn 弄好了戶口, 入了 Check。到 Houston Hall 的 Crepery 用午飯, 看看幾個「廚師」會否認得我; 甫見面, 便是熟悉的 「Champ, Champ」, 他們還是記錯我的名字 --> Champion.

其中一個肥佬廚, 叫 Chris, 去年春天到 San Fran 旅行, 送我一件 Sweater; 才一見面便熱情的談起來, 結果是一份免費午餐。令人驚訝的是, 一向 Cool 的老闆竟然走來握手, 說 "Welcome Back!!". 哈!

然後「電」了 Ingrid, 她還以為是長途電話。從唐人街買腸包, 便到 Office 探望她; 她也說我像是沒有離開過。談了一會, 有順風車回家。

今天的 Schedule, 上午在 Alexis 的書房看書, 真寫意。下午拿 Timmy 的譜, 星期六的 Camp 要彈, 明天跟 Paul 和 Joe 「夾」; 然後跟 Emily 的 Organ 預備星期六的詩歌。甫見面便「開工」了, 真有趣。

三個月後見

將會離港三個月, 八月廿日回來。

千千去了印尼, 去時飛得起, 希望回來都飛得起。哈, 好好欣賞自己的氣質。

勞萬怡的 Outward Bound 計劃把我們五個都嚇著了。希望 Monica 平安來回、「全身而退」, 否則警方會收到四個本地和一個外地報案。

希望 Nehemiah 的大家享受閱讀計劃; 希望能遙遙地分享。
